House of Hearing have very kindly sponsored one of our Choral Scholars for 2024/25.
This year our lucky scholar is John Hall.
"My name is John Hall, I'm 19 years old and born and raised in Edinburgh. I'm currently studying chemistry in first year and I am delighted to have been awarded the House of Hearing choral scholarship.
I fell in love with singing as a child in school choir and have really enjoyed my first semester in St Andrews Chorus. Having never had singing lessons before, I am excited to develop my technique and singing as a bass as well as exploring and learning new repertoire. The scholarship will provide such a great opportunity for me to grow as a singer to the best my ability.
Outside of singing, I also enjoy playing saxophone, running, as well as hiking in the Scottish Highlands."
